The US Immigration laws are comprised of basically three sections. The first section is through family petitions.This sort of immigration petition is from a spouse, parents, children, or siblings. Depending on how close of a family member to petitioning relative is, the waiting time could be anywhere from immediate to 10 years. For example, a spouse of a US citizen does not have to wait for the visa to become current in order for him or her to immigrate. A sibling petition, however, currently takes about 10 years.
The second category is through investment. The US government will issue immigration visa if you inves from $500,000-$1 million.
The thir section of the immigration law deal with employment visa. This area is highly complex, and many factors have to be considered including who the employer is and the qualification of the employee.
The US immigration law take some volumes of texts. However, as I have mentioned, the three main categories are family, investment, and employment.
